The Fermi-eon: New Leverages in Quantum Physics; New Nervous System Encounters in Space-Time

New leverages in the physics of energy produced by the Chicago Pile and Fermi’s splitting of the atom at the onset of the fifth decade of the 20th century produced an entirely new layer of human dimensional interface with reality; an added layer of complexity and energetic efficiency: both creative and destructive — which created an entirely ulterior set of human concerns. From quantum computing to the atom bomb.

Energetic breakage from the phenomenological Newtonian to the Fermi quantum mechanical through practical technologies of fission and fusion is a break point from human somatic time — the sensorial dimension of the seeming being of gravitational fields and relative space-time, into the energetic dimension of flows and thermonuclear pockets of exploitable relationships buried deep within atomic pressures; the hidden dirt of a drifting cosmic aeon. These exploitable potentialities are as old as Mendel’s gene; the discovery of chemical and elemental characters and their relationship in space through combination and separation.

The piercing of chemistry, biology, and the phenomenological world revealed a reality of hidden energetic potentialities to mass effect — suprahuman; even human extinguishing. Man’s primary existential threat became not another tribe, but science itself; the translation of science — typical of Fermi — into practical, aggregate, technological solutions that could be leveraged in the field of being proper to effect.

This discovery of the quantum mechanical realm had a fundamental ripple which permeated each emergent technological and cultural force hereafter. Primarily a cosmological innovation and intervention into the deeper field of reality and being proper, the downstream effects of the post-Newtonian revolution of perception and reality brought about the nuclear age; all of its component and constituent parts of human somatic uncertainty in the face of an emergent reality it was not neuro-linguistically and bio-linguistically programmed to encounter. The discovery of nuclearity; the technological development of fissionary and fusionary properties was an unfolding which prolapsed human faculty; exceeded the perceptual bounds of genetically evolved human nature into a realm of discomprehension.

This is why the greatest minds of quantum mechanics, as stated by Feynman, do not understand quantum mechanics. It is a supra-human reality; a technological, natural energetic field of existence which is outside of the phenomenologically, temporally inclined genetic and somatic template of mankind, grounded within a ritualized over space-time evolution neural experience of reality through human, faunal evolution through epochs of slow, subtle transformation to the human being body template proper.

The discovery of that which is supra-valent to the human being is man’s first true foray into the incomprehensible since the long technological epoch of fire: an epoch of chemistry and experimentation within the valent grounds of seemingly impenetrable atoms, particles, molecules, chemicals, and elements. For these constituent elements and factors to be broken down further into pure energetic expression is the end of phenomenology proper; the beginning of the epochal era of the dissolute — the nonexistent, the immaterial, the foundational energetic dimension with no firm borders, bounds, or figurations.

This is non-computational to the human template, a template which for hundreds of thousands and millions of years evolved functionarily through buffalo, trees, earth, sun; firm symbolic borders; bounds of the human sensorium. Safe mushroom, unsafe mushroom. Berry. Body. Desert. The human perception, aided at first by telescopes which Galileo and Copernicus used to overturn the human cosmos by astrophysical reality, was accelerated to the Fermi cracking of the atomic code in practice — a breaking of the foundational, micro and macrocosmic physical breach into pure energy from the smallest rote denominator. In doing so, human perception broke in a way that is irrevocable; requires active evolution of the limits of man to recover. A sharpening of perception; a shift in the way of seeing originating at the root of the body; the genetic code of mankind proper.

This shift was early; it was a break facilitated by decades; centuries of scientific and technological development in cohesion — from Newton to Planck; practical implementations as wide ranging as da Vinci to von Neumann. The translation of quantum, non-local principles into the space-time of mankind has proven one of the greatest challenges of modern human history; a challenge long since incorporated ritualistically and somatically into the genetic human architecture by ancient shamanism, plant medicine, and trance state. This facilitation flies in the face of the very template and time within which man lives: a time of cycles, established flows, currents; planetary bodies in the neighborhood of the cosmos which man inhabits: time bound and time making systems and processes in long, protracted states of existing relationship; predictable, patterned flow.

Man’s disruption or inquiry into this flow is the unstable bound between scientific inquiry and technological innovation resultant from it. Fermi’s splitting of the atom; Chicago Pile unify the inquiry with the apparatus; resulting from technological success through scientific revolution is the subsequent foundational shift — in whichever period of months and years — of the human collective somatic mode of recognition of the real proper. Artificial intelligence is downstream from Fermi, as is the breakdown of information as a form of technology which guided man. Without a prelapsarian return to the world of the mammoth and the mushroom, logic chains no longer apply to man, as the boundaries between the generative digital and the long chain somatic physical continue to blur and intermingle, until physical realities are soldered with digital system processes which do not obey the same laws as the physical world, but drink the same water; use the same fossil fuels and electricity — the energetic systems of nature converted to produce code bearing and code loading asynchronic systems, capable of producing otherworldly and ulterior realities.

This is the Fermi-eon, the eon and age of destabilization at the root and foundation of what it is to be human; the breakdown of the somatic code of the human being at the level of the prime stabilizer: phenomenology as collective code of what we see, what appears to be is what is. This consensus attempt to establish mode of sight as collective organizing function, aided by collectively comprehensible storytelling function to make sense of what is seen by the group is dead and dying. It was a mode that is built into the human cognitive and genetic architecture, primed over hundreds of thousands of years of necessary ritual genetic and epigenetic processing of experience in tribes and civilizations.

Without the necessity of this function by way of technological innovation which has obliterated and run past the human sensorium bounds; into energetic space and digital architecture; light grids — the function remains necessary; becomes ever more pressing and everpresent in the subsequent somatic rift and rapture. Once mankind has seen what they are not capable of seeing by way of technological innovation and deep historical scientific scaffolding, they are forced to reckon with the outcomes of extending beyond the limits of the body.

Downregulating the greatest revolution of somatic perception in human history is a task that requires the highest literacy — for once the spell of the world through the eyes of the gene is broken, mankind is required at the level of neural survival to ask the deepest possible question: what are we if we began as humans, but through our insatiability, became something ulterior even to mankind; is survival possible, even as we remain in human bodies, but have acquired an entirely ulterior method and mode of meeting them; this natural, physical, phenomenological appearing world — knowing that what is is beyond the reach of our sensate, corporeal, technological visioning bodies?
