The Storm
The Storm
Grey waves break over the eaves,
Thirsting, as the sky whirls
Ominous, black turpentine.
Heavy, thick wet lung of the air Crests on the edge of a great change. Bestial, lumbering toward the changing; Expanding, pressing upon the hot vein of the stars With spinning, shifting, chameleonic eyes.
Shedding bodies, dissipating; From skin to gas, burst overwhelmed stars — Breaking their burden against the sparkling orange cliffs of space.
Into the madding arrangement Tumble limbs, stewing their primordial thunder. Fire, met with aeons of ice Breaking across the horizon of the mind Whose eyes turn inward, broken in shaking cold; Dripping Upon the force of creation.
